Scope
This policy applies only to the marketing website https://ghost-td.com (and its development subdomain). The game itself runs on separate infrastructure and has its own privacy policy.
Server log files
When you visit the site, our web server automatically records technical connection data: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, status code, transferred volume, referer URL and browser/operating-system identifier. These data are retained for at most 14 days and are evaluated solely for the purposes of operating the site, troubleshooting and defending against attacks. They are not combined with other data sources and are not used to build user profiles.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the security, stability and proper operation of the website.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website currently sets no cookies and does not access information stored on your device within the meaning of § 25 TDDDG (the German implementation of the ePrivacy Directive). Should that change through the activation of Matomo (see below) or any other feature, this policy will be updated accordingly before activation.
Support form
When you use the support form, the content you enter (subject, message, optional email address) is forwarded to us directly by email. This content is not persisted on the website. In addition, we hold your IP address in volatile server memory for at most one hour to enforce rate limits and a replay-protection check on the proof-of-work verification. These data are not shared with third parties and are not used for profiling. We will only reply by email if you supply an email address; in that case we keep the email correspondence for as long as is necessary to handle your enquiry and to comply with statutory retention obligations.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (responding to your enquiry) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating the form free of abuse).
Audience measurement with Matomo
We run a self-hosted Matomo instance on servers located within the EU (domain: statistik.avamboo.de). Matomo is configured so that no cookies are set, your IP address is shortened (anonymised) before any storage, your browser's “Do Not Track” signal is honoured, and no cross-device tracking takes place. Only aggregated usage statistics are produced. No data is transferred to third parties.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the needs-based design and continuous optimisation of this website. Because Matomo is operated cookielessly and without accessing your end device, § 25 TDDDG does not apply.
You can object to the analysis at any time — either through your browser's “Do Not Track” signal (we respect it automatically) or via the following opt-out link:
Hosting
This website is hosted on infrastructure operated by avamboo GmbH within the Federal Republic of Germany. There is no processing by third-party hosting providers. Reply emails (support) are sent through avamboo GmbH's own mail server; no transfer to third parties takes place.
Transfers to third countries
No personal data is transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
Your rights as a data subject
You have the following rights at any time: access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR). Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
